This is a new, aftermarket Z06 Splitter for a 2015 to 2019 Corvette Stingray with Grand Sport or Z06. It is derived from the GM Z07 package which had an tremendous amount of aero-testing time. Corvette Salvage took the concept and redesigned it in CAD and then CNC machined it from the ground up adding slight improvements. The splitter is manufactured in our proprietary RTM process following the highest quality standards. The result is a clean, durable and aerodynamic component that will benefit the front end of your Corvette.
For Added Rigidity and Aerodynamic Performance:
Add the enhanced under tray option to improve the aerodynamics of the splitter by keeping all edges smooth and directing airflow with the minimum amount of turbulence. The under tray increases the rigidity of the splitter by allowing it to withstand bumps and scrapes and has revised brake cooling ducts and extra mounting points with linear fins, which keep airflow as laminar as possible.
Optional Deflectors:
Deflectors are also available as added options to deflect and reduce the drag airflow off the end of the splitter and allow it to move more efficiently. Deflectors are available in as two stage options:
Stage 2 Winglets: Similar to the Z06 Stage 2 Deflectors, these winglets are our smallest and most conservative option.
Stage 3 Delfectors (Z07): For an incredible aero-performance and bold look, the Stage 3 Deflector is the choice to consider.
What material are these splitters made of?
All the splitters are made using RTM Composite, which is a manufacturing technique involving several materials such as fiberglass molded in high temperature and compression. This process is much more rigid and durable than traditional hand-laid fiberglass.
How is the splitter installed? Is drilling required?
The splitter will require additional drilling as rivets are used to secure the components to the car; however, factory mounting hardware is also reused for additional support. The use of two-way tape is not recommended.
What is the under tray option, and do I need it?
The undertray adds an under-pan to the splitter increasing its rigidity and structural strength. The undertray is a great addition if you do heavy spirited driving as it will help withstand higher speeds while maintaining laminar airflow underneath, but it is not needed!
What surface finish should I get?
If you are wanting to paint the parts yourself or have someone else paint them, then Primer is the choice. Primer is an unpainted surface that requires a final sanding prior to paint. Satin Black is a matte finish similar to a plastidip effect. We do not recommend this finish unless you have a matte theme on your C7. Carbon Flash Metallic Black is our recommendation for all products on a C7 Corvette. This color will match the trim pieces found on your C7 including the front grill, rear diffuser, fender inserts. Essentially, all black accent pieces are in Carbon Flash Metallic Black.
Are these items in stock? When can I expect delivery?
Generally, we keep stock of all our products; however, in the event of a back order you will be notified with an estimated time (Typically, less than two weeks). Transit times vary on location, but 3 to 5 business is the standard time (delays due to customs are out of our control).
