What is a Throttle Actuator Control Module?
The Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module is the electronic computer that receives a signal from the (APP) accelerator pedal position sensor. The (APP) sensor is fixed to the gas pedal. The functional principle of the (AAP) sensor involves conversion of the accelerator pedal movement into a voltage signal to the (TAC) module that provides a pulse width modulated voltage to the (TAC) Motor. The (TAC) motor achieves throttle positioning by controlling the opening and closing of the throttle plate.
