This is a rebuilding service for a C5 Diagnostic Energy Reserve Module (DERM) which can be installed on any of the following Corvette models:

NOTE: We will not repair any air bag modules that have cut wires. All wiring must be original and intact.

What is a Diagnostic Energy Reserve Module (DERM)?

A Diagnostic Energy Reserve Module (DERM) is a computer found in all vehicles equipped with an airbag system. This module controls the airbags, clock spring, impact sensors and seat belts. It writes crash data and stores it in a memory chip during an accident. Once this occurs, the airbag light is turned on and the module is rendered useless. The cost of a new module from a dealership can cost several hundred dollars. We offer an affordable solution which allows your existing module to be reprogramed back to its original factory settings.

CORE CHARGE POLICY

Corvette Salvage requires a core charge deposit when specific used and rebuilt parts are purchased. When purchasing an item with a core charge attached to it, the following two conditions must be satisfied for the core charge deposit to be returned:

• 60 days from the purchase of the original item, the original core must be returned to the Corvette Salvage facility. Shipping costs for core returns are the customer’s responsibility. Cost Of Delivery or Postage Due packages will be refused
• The returned core must pass rebuilding inspection tests. Corvette Salvage reserves the right to determine if a part is rebuildable. If a part is deemed not rebuildable, return shipment will be at customer expense.
