This is a rebuilding service offered by Corvette Salvage for a C5 Antilock Brake System (ABS) Module which can be installed on any of the following Corvette models:

This service includes a surge suppression upgrade which acts much like a surge protector found within a home. Each time the electronic brake control module (EBCM) receives power from the ignition, it goes through a validation process before it activates itself for operation. One of the checks performed, ensures the ABS pump is attached and working correctly. For this procedure to work, the EBCM must send out voltage to the pump for a few milliseconds to determine if it is in working condition. Unfortunately, when this happens, a large voltage spike is generated by the pump. This spike can be very hard on the EBCM electronics. Our rebuilding service will suppress this spike to prevent future problems from occurring.

This repair option requires you or someone to remove the brake module from your vehicle. While your brake module is being repaired you will still be able to drive your vehicle without the ABS and traction control functions.
